Michael has been in the financial services industry for over 18 years. He started his career in his father’s insurance agency, J.F. Canning & Associates.  He spent 13 years selling life, health, disability, property, casualty insurance, and fixed annuities with their firm. He transitioned into the securities industry in 2015 as an internal wholesaler on the annuity sales desk with Prudential.

Michael decided to make the transition to National Financial Network to grow a balanced practice in the Connecticut area. Now, Michael is able to leverage his skills and knowledge of insurance coupled with his securities licenses to create tailored financial strategies for his clients.  He works with individuals, families, and businesses.  Each client is unique, Michael believes that the education he provides allows his clients to pass good habits down from generation to generation. A process-driven person, Michael teaches his clients a process during the wealth accumulation and distribution phases of a financial life cycle.  Protecting for today, tomorrow, and beyond their time.

He enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially taking nature walks or trips to the park with his daughter and watching her explore the world around her.
