David Chapin holds a degree in Economics from Brown University and has over 20 years of experience designing financial planning software. He spent the majority of his career at VALIC, where he led the financial planning technology team for five years, driving the development of innovative tools designed to help individuals better understand and manage their financial futures.

David’s experience lies in helping clients achieve retirement readiness, a goal he has pursued throughout his career. His primary focus is on individuals with children who are entering middle age, many of whom have not yet taken the necessary steps to secure their financial future or that of their family. David’s strategic, client-focused approach to financial planning often yields the most benefit for those in this demographic, providing them with the guidance they need to help ensure long-term success.

Growing up in a family of professional musicians, David was immersed in music from an early age. Though he did not pursue a musical career, he enjoys fond memories of caroling and singing with his family during the holidays. In his free time, David is also an enthusiastic participant in roleplaying games, whether tabletop, online, or live-action.
