After spending over 21 years in the US Army Reserves Medical Corp and 15 years working at Yale New Haven Hospital, O’Neil decided to join NFN after a mutual friend introduced him to Managing Director, Steve Rzezuski. O’Neil joined Financial Services to build his own business to help people better understand their personal and business finances. His passion for developing plans aligned with his ability to problem solve and create manageable action steps for his clients. For someone with experience assisting in surgery and seeing patients from all walks of life, O’Neil has seen how the unknown can weigh heavy on families, businesses, and individuals. He understands the importance of being organized, and that the power of knowledge helps people get through tough times.
Now with the support of NFN, O’Neil helps clients by listening to their hopes and dreams, setting goals, and motivating them to drive towards achieving those goals. Using a protection first philosophy, he gathers the facts and creates a tailored financial strategy for each unique client. His experience made it obvious that financial education was lacking among his co-workers, family, and friends that continue to live paycheck to paycheck when they may not have to.
Empowering people to do better with the dollars they earn is his personal and professional goal. He is enthusiastic about working with individuals, families, healthcare professions, and veterans. O’Neil appreciates getting to know his clients on a deeper level, building and fostering relationships, and showing clients what is possible. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, going for runs, golfing, and traveling.
