Rusudan Vashakidze

Rusudan earned her PhD in Journalism and Masters degree in International Relations from Tbilisi Javakhishvili State University and The University of Georgia.  Prior to joining NFN, she had strong ties to the financial industry as, she was creating and implementing financial budgets for international projects for different international organizations and embassies, such as the US Embassy to Georgia, USAID, NATO liaison Office to Georgia, EU Delegation to Georgia, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherland and Embassy of Romania to Georgia,  NGO - INTEGRATION-Road to NATO and EU, TV Channel Rustavi 2, Georgian Public Broadcasting. As an Executive Media Producer on the leading TV channel in the country of Georgia, and an associate professor at the University of Georgia, Rusudan worked on the research against the spread of misinformation and fake news. Rusudan was also a participant of the  US State Department  International Visitor Leadership Program (T.V. Broadcast Journalism) in 2009.

Through her journey, she found that there is an incredible amount of misinformation out there and how accessible it is to obtain, especially when it comes to managing personal finances.  She decided to shift her mindset from finding the problems, to help create solutions.  Now, with the support of NFN Rusudan, can help people better understand their own personal finances and helps them sift through the misinformation out there.  Education is the key to financial freedom, empowering clients with knowledge allows them to make educated decisions they feel good about on their own. 

A passionate person, Rusudan enjoys helping others as well as spending her free time with her friends and pets, a true animal lover. She also speaks 3 languages, English, Russian and Georgian.
