Shane Shinn, CLU®, ChFC®, CLF, RICP®, CLTC, CMFC

Shane Shinn, serves as Executive Vice President, Organizational Development, where he partners with the executive leadership team to drive the firm's long-term growth strategy through leadership development, organizational excellence, and advisor engagement.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Shane has built a distinguished career focused on developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and helping financial professionals achieve sustainable success. In his role at NFN, he is responsible for advancing the firm's organizational development initiatives, including sales leadership development, recruiting strategy, executive coaching, succession planning, business planning, advisor engagement, and the implementation of scalable processes that support continued growth across the enterprise.

Working closely with Managing Directors, Managing Associates, Producer Groups, and executive leadership, Shane provides strategic guidance to help develop high-performing leaders, strengthen recruiting efforts, improve advisor productivity, and foster a collaborative culture built for long-term success. He also leads leadership onboarding, helps identify and develop future firm leaders, oversees key organizational initiatives, and serves as a strategic resource to the Chairman, CEO, and senior leadership team.

Prior to joining NFN, Shane spent more than 15 years in executive leadership with Guardian, serving as Northeast Regional Vice President and previously as Regional Director of Agency Management and Leadership Development. In those roles, he partnered with agencies across the country to improve recruiting, leadership development, profitability, succession planning, and organizational performance.

Earlier in his career, Shane served as a Financial Planner and Manager of Financial Services with Prudential and as Assistant Regional Vice President with Kansas City Life. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous industry and leadership honors, including Prudential's Rookie of the Year, Presidential Citation, Chairman's Citation, GAMA Bronze, and recognition as one of LIMRA's Top 25 Rising Stars among distribution executives under the age of 40.

Shane earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Pittsburg State University. He holds the CLU®, ChFC®, CLF, RICP®, CLTC, and CMFC designations, along with FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 registrations and Life and Health insurance licenses.

Shane and his wife, Brigid, reside in Shawnee, Kansas, with their daughter, McKenna, and son, Mason.
