Steven has been in the financial services industry since he graduated from college in 2001. He transitioned from his prior role working in legal firms to a National Financial Network after attending a networking event. He found a synergy between two things he loves, meeting new people and helping others understand how money works and can work together to achieve a common goal.
His career began in a law firm that represented lenders as funding agents. Steven enjoyed explaining contracts and the process of buying a home to clients. At a young age, he was guiding clients through home buying questions, editing contracts and overseeing closings. He found that being the point person that will allow someone to make a major life decision was a great responsibility but also gave him a sense of purpose.
When the market took a turn in 2008, Steven then took to advocating for clients that were facing foreclosure. He grew from a beginner in his career to managing a staff of more than fifty associates, making final decisions on case management for over 1000 active clients, marketing, purchasing office equipment, and managing a network of attorneys. Hindsight being 20/20, Steven wanted to get back to the 1:1 client relationships he worked to build in the beginning of his career.
For the past year Steven has been working with the Equity First Foundation, which is a financial literacy non-profit. During that time, he has learned how to network and sharpened his public speaking skills. Now, with the support of National Financial Network, Steven is working towards expanding his network and sharing a protection first philosophy with them. His passion for financial education and literacy, drives him to continue to grow his business.
An avid Yankee’s fan, Steven also enjoys fly fishing, kayaking with his dog, and playing fantasy football with friends.
